Chlorine can leave your hair dry and brittle and make your skin flaky and itchy. As much as 50% of the chlorine taken into the body comes from skin absorption and inhalation. The other 50% is drinking water. KDF is far superior at removing chlorine than carbon in the shower. While carbon is great for drinking water filters, it is not great with hot water such as a shower. In hot water carbon can slough off some of the chemicals that it may have absorbed. That is why the package on the faucet & pitcher drinking water filters tell you to not use hot water in them. For hot water in the shower, KDF is "hands down" the best filtration media available. Installs easily between existing shower head and pipe. Shower head not included.
